I recently stayed at Baobabed Hostel in Yangon for a few nights. The location was perfect, with plenty of nearby food stalls and tourist attractions like the Sule Pagoda within walking distance. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering ticketing services for future trips and serving free Burmese snacks in the afternoon. The facilities were great, with spacious beds, curtains for privacy, and a cozy lobby to hang out in.

    Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The value for my money at this hostel was really good. The room was comfortable with privacy curtains and lockers, and the location was perfect, right in the heart of Chinatown.

The only thing that could have made the breakfast better was more variety in the food options.

Staff amazing, helpful, friendly. Large beds, curtains for privacy. Locker and plug sockets in each bunk. Free coffee and tea. Great location near China Town. Clean showers, decent towels and sheets. Comfortable beds, good pillows. Filling breakfast. Quirky extras like white face paint and cigarettes.

    All good.

The staff at the reception were really nice and helpful. The double room was big, clean, and had a comfy bed. The restaurant served good food at a reasonable price. The hostel's location was great, with plenty of food options nearby and easy access to tourist attractions.

The optional tours and activities offered by the hostel were quite expensive compared to other places. It would be better to find a cheaper travel agency for activities.

We found the location of the hostel to be quite convenient, with many attractions nearby such as the beach and local markets. the rooms were generally clean and the beds provided some privacy with curtains. the staff was friendly and helpful, providing information and assistance when needed. the breakfast spread was satisfactory, offering a decent variety of dishes. the common areas were comfortable and the cafe staff provided good service.

The hostel lacked a strong WiFi connection, which was inconvenient who rely on it for communication and planning.

The hostel had a great location near main facilities and excellent restaurants. the staff were very helpful and kind. the washrooms were clean and spacious. the included breakfast was very good.

Late night upper floor loud noises were bothersome, especially since my bunk was near the window facing the main road below. the WiFi was inconsistent and the coffee was a little disappointing.

The value for money at this hostel was excellent, with clean and comfortable beds and a well-maintained bathroom. The location was prime, near Chinatown and within walking distance of attractions and restaurants. The staff were friendly and accommodating, allowing us to shower even after check-out.

The breakfast option could be improved with more variety or additional hot dishes.

We had an really good stay at Baobabed Hostel in Yangon. The cubicles were spacious and cozy, with private lockers and plenty of plugs. The bathroom was well-maintained and clean. The staff were cute and friendly, making us feel right at home. We also enjoyed the free local food offered daily, as well as the delicious local breakfast. Despite a minor inconvenience of being a bit far from the Schwedagon Pagoda, grabbing a taxi was easy. we highly recommend Baobabed Hostel for its excellent service and comfortable environment.

The location in China town was perfect, with 19th street food stalls and the Strand Street nearby. We could easily walk to Sule Circle and explore other food streets along the way. The hostel had clean bathrooms and the air conditioning was a bonus. The breakfast provided was satisfying, and the front desk staff, while their English could improve, were helpful and friendly.

Baobabed Hostel in Yangon was a true home away from home. The central location made it easy to explore the city, with all major attractions within walking distance. The hostel was very clean and cozy, with comfortable beds and plenty of showers and toilets. The breakfast and local snack in the evening were delicious, although I have to admit the cheap white bread and artificial margarine could be improved. The manager and staff were caring, helpful, and interested in making my stay enjoyable. The WiFi worked well throughout the hostel, and there were various chill out areas to meet other travelers. The beautifully restored colonial building added a welcoming touch. I highly recommend this hostel for its wonderful atmosphere and excellent value for money.
